Point Grenville

Point Grenville sits on the SR 101 route between Hoquiam and Taholah, at an elevation of 125 feet, facing 210 degrees toward the south-southwest. The terrain drops 137 feet within 600 meters of the overlook. It is a headland on the central Olympic Peninsula, located between Taholah and Moclips, within the Quinault Indian Nation and near the community of Santiago. The area falls within the Copalis National Wildlife Refuge and the Olympic Coast National Marine Sanctuary. Since 2013 the Quinault Nation has called it Point Haynisisoos, and it is home to the tribal access-only Haynisisoos Park.

Looking south-southeast, Sunset Beach lies 6.7 miles away, followed by Pacific Beach State Park at 7.7 miles. A cluster of features near Seabrook — including West Hill Park, Woodland Promenade, Sunset Amphitheater, Beach Camp Park, Garden Promenade, Crescent Park, Compass Park, and Seabrook Town Hall Park — sit between 8.3 and 8.5 miles out. Ocean Shores is 23.5 miles to the south-southeast, with Hoquiam at 28.9 miles and Aberdeen at 31.5 miles, both southeast. Daylight ranges from a December solstice window of 8:02 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. to a June solstice span of 5:21 a.m. to 9:18 p.m.
