Buråsi

Buråsi sits along the Gaularfjellet byway at 1,867 feet, facing 300°. The terrain drops 1,568 feet within 600 meters of the overlook, giving an open view over the surrounding land. From this point, Munkeggi peak is visible to the west-southwest at 2.8 miles, rising to 4,274 feet, while Keipen viewpoint lies north-northwest at 3.7 miles and 4,616 feet. Bjornabreen peak is also in view to the northwest, 3.8 miles out and 4,744 feet in elevation. The 300° orientation puts the view roughly 30 degrees off a direct westward line, angling it toward the sunset side of the sky. Sunset times vary through the year, from 23:18 at the June solstice to 15:16 at the December solstice, with equinox sunsets falling near 18:48 in March and 19:37 in September. Klukkshaug is the previous lookout along the route before reaching Buråsi.
