The phone app arrives Q4 2026.
Byway Mobile is the native iOS and Android app. It is not out yet, and this page says so — what follows is what lands with it, and what deliberately carries no date.

Every card in this section is unshipped. Byway does not date work it cannot see the end of, and these three are dated because the owner has committed the quarter in writing.
Native iOS and Android apps
The apps themselves, on both platforms, landing this phase. The same account you already use on Byway Web — one account, same journeys, everywhere.
Turn-by-turn, with narration
Byway's own turn-by-turn comes with the app: your exact plan becomes the navigation, with a voice between the turns. Not a route handed to another app — the drive you planned, guided.
The model comes with you
The app reads the same account-bound taste vector Byway Compass shows you on the web. Nothing is re-learned on a second device.
What comes after the apps.
Two things people ask about that are NOT part of Q4 2026. One of them will never carry a date from us at all.
CarPlay and Android Auto
Byway is building its own in-car turn-by-turn for both. We will not put a quarter or a year on it: an in-car app ships when Apple and Google clear it, not before, and that is not ours to promise.
Full offline regions
Maps, stories and guidance where signal dies. On the roadmap for v1.5 in 2027, after the apps themselves.
Byway is already usable.
Byway Web is live today in the private beta — free, no card. Plan a drive there now, and the journeys, the passport and the compass you build are the ones the phone app will open on.
