Point Byway at a road with zero pre-loaded data and it ingests real, verified places on the spot, then plans a drive worth taking. This isn't a promise — it runs in production. We've planned drives this way from Cape Town to the Turkish coast, and along dozens of American back roads the corpus hadn't reached yet.

Is Byway US-only?

No. The US is where our record is deepest — every scenic byway on the federal roster — but Byway plans real drives anywhere on Earth. We've also mapped corridors across Ireland, Norway and Iceland, with curated routes in Québec, France, New Zealand and Northern Ireland.

Can I use Byway where I live?

If there's a road, yes. Where we haven't pre-loaded data, the engine ingests real, verified places on demand and plans from those — proven in production from Cape Town to the Turkish coast. Access is through the private beta today.

What does “mapped in depth” mean?

Two things: signed routes drawn from official or community data, and a country-wide corpus of verified places — tens of thousands across Ireland, Norway and Iceland, hundreds of thousands in the US — each traced to OpenStreetMap. Every stop is a real place. Zero hallucinations.

Where are you going next?

We add depth where the engine can be magical, not thin, on a rolling basis. We don't name a country until its routes are real and drawable — so this page only ever shows what actually works today.
