Farther out, La Grande Fecht runs through the valley to the south-southeast at 3.0 miles, while Batteriekopf stands to the south-southwest at 3.4 miles and Ilienkopf lies to the east-southeast at 3.8 miles. Sunrise and sunset times shift considerably through the year at this location, from a 05:33 sunrise at the June solstice to an 08:20 sunrise at the December solstice, with sunset ranging from 16:42 in December to 21:36 in June. This lookout follows Rochers de la Martinswand and precedes Belvédère 1er Spitzkopf along the byway.
