This overlook sits at 2,258 ft along the Route Napoléon, facing west across terrain that drops 349 ft within 600 meters. La Bléone runs west-southwest at 0.7 mi, with the Plan d'eau des Férreols visible slightly farther in the same direction at 1.1 mi. Col de Masse appears to the west-northwest at 2.5 mi, elevation 2,313 ft, while more distant peaks extend the view: Sommet de Salomon due west at 4.4 mi (3,241 ft) and Pic d'Oise to the west-northwest at 4.7 mi (3,740 ft). Le Puy and the water at Pluvial lie farther southwest, at 5.5 and 5.8 miles respectively. Because the view faces directly toward the western horizon, the setting sun aligns squarely with the outlook, with sunset times ranging from 17:00 in December to 21:22 in June.
