General Camping Info : Find helpful guidance and tips for an enjoyable trip to the forest! Know Fire & Other Restrictions Before You Go! : These conditions can affect your entire trip. For example, Extreme and Critical fire use restrictions mean no campfires and no portable cooking systems/stoves. Bring cold food and no S’mores. Be Bear Aware! : Bear safety is critical, for the safety of your group and/or you, as well as our bears. Help keep bears wild by following these tips. Overview of Site: This recreation site is managed by concessionaire, Mountain High Resort . Appletree Campground is located just off the Big Pines Highway (County Road N4) and is an easy drive from Wrightwood. The campground is open year-round and has eight first-come, first-served walk-in (less than 100-yards with a slight inclination) campsites. The nearby slopes and open spaces offer a snowy playground for snow play and families. Amenities: Piped water available. 8 walk-in campsites with a designated picnic table, campfire ring, and BBQ pedestal grills. (Three sites ADA-accessible) RVs: Maximum RV length is 16’ - No hookups. RVs allowed in parking lot but no direct vehicle access to campsites.

This site is operated by Mountain High Resort. Camping fees, which are set by Mountain High Resort, can be paid on-site or with the campground host at Mt. Oak Campground. A Big Pines Pass from Mountain High Resort is required when parking here. The Adventure Pass and any of the Interagency Passes are not honored here.
