Kingfisher Island Boat-in Campground

This campground has 8 boat-in only tent camping sites on the east shore of Kingfisher Island, a large island in the southwest arm of Flaming Gorge Reservoir. This campground has new docks and offers gorgeous views. Visitors enjoy fishing in Flaming Gorge Reservoir for mackinaw (lake trout), Utah chub, rainbow trout, channel catfish, and smallmouth bass. Nearby Activities • The Green River below the dam is one of the best trout streams in the country, and is also popular among rafters and kayakers. • There are over 220 miles of trails in the Flaming Gorge National Recreation Area. • Sheep Canyon Geological Area, just west of the Flaming Gorge National Recreation Area, features stunning scenic panoramas, framed by colorfully-striated cliffs.
