McCoy Creek Campground

The McCoy Creek Campground is located on the south end of the Palisades Reservoir. From Alpine, WY, take Highway 89 south to Salt River - McCoy Road #087, go west approximately 6 miles to the campground. There is a primitive boat ramp at the campground and it is possible to launch small watercraft; rafts, kayaks and canoes at high water levels. McCoy Creek and Palisades Reservoir offers great fishing. There is very limited shade in the campground. All sites have a gravel surface. There are 17 single units, first come/first served. The campground host is not on site, but checks the campground regularly. Water and vault toilets are available. There is no trash service at the campground, so all garbage must be packed out with you. Firewood may be available for sale at the campground. No Fee after fall closure.
