Fernow Cabin
Fernow Cabin is a retired U. S. Forest Service Fire Guard Station built in the 1970's. Firefighters stayed here during fire season. This rustic three-bedroom log cabin is located in a beautiful ponderosa pine setting on the Mogollon Rim. Located in a scenic draw, the site is isolated which provides privacy and great opportunities for getting back to nature. The area is characterized by warm summer days with cool nights. View Photos

Fees
$125.00 per night late May through mid-October. $75.00 per night when we turn the water off for the winter. Dates subject to change depending on the weather; closed during winter months and when the forest is closed due to extreme fire danger.
Hours
Due to impassable roads and weather, the opening date for Fernow and Kendrick Cabins has been moved to Friday May 19, 2023. Check out time is before 11:00 am. Check-in time is after 2:00 pm. • April 19: Opens - $75/night . • Open Season: April 19 - November 11, 2024 • Peak Season: May 16 – October 15 th at $125 per night • November 11: Closed for winter.
Restrictions
Outdoor campfires and charcoal are NOT permitted during Stage II fire restrictions. They are permitted during Stage 1.
