Challenge Cabin
Dates Available to Rent December 1-March 31 Max Party Size 5 Cost & Reservations Recreation.gov Challenge Cabin is available from Dec 1st through March 31st each winter. The cabin is not available April 1 to Nov 30. Challenge Cabin is available during the winter - December 1st to March 31st - and is located 51 miles east of Hungry Horse, MT on US Highway 2, then eight miles south on Skyland Road #569. Access involves an 8-mile hike, snowshoe, or snowmobile to the cabin. Challenge has rustic accommodations including propane cook stove, lights, wood stove, firewood, and vault toilet. Renters should pack their own drinking water and bedding. Party size is 5, accommodated with a bunk bed and a small loft. Please pack out what you brought, including your garbage. Grizzly bears live in the area; store your food, beverages, coolers, and garbage inside the cabin. Pets are allowed. Please pick up after your pet! Commercial use of the cabins is prohibited (outfitter guides, groups or organizations with compensated leaders/chaperons).
