Stinking Pond Float Camp

Stinking Pond located on the left side of the Eleven Point River near a 20 foot bluff about a mile below Turner Mill River Access . This access is located 5.7 miles below Greer Crossing . The campsites are accessible only from the river. The campground is on the edge of the river. The campsites are about 200 feet back from the river and are screened from the river by trees and brush. Downriver, the next takeout is McDowell (FS).

Fireworks are prohibited. • No more than 8 people are permitted at single sites • Dogs must be on a 6 foot leash in the float camp. • Only collect dead and downed wood for campfires. • No trash containers; please pack out all your trash • Follow the Leave No Trace Principles • No glass or polystyrene on the river. • The river can rise rapidly, be aware of changing conditions.
