Cold Springs Campground

NOTE: This campground stays open until the snow makes it unreachable. Cold Springs Campground is located approximately 16.5 miles outside of Yampa, Colorado with views of the Flat Tops Wilderness. This is a small, very popular campground that makes a loop with 5 campsites and can accomodate trailers up to 30 feet. The area accesses some great trout fishing and hiking, with a nearby boat launch at the Yamcolo Reservoir as well as 2 other reservoirs that offers great trout fishing, wading, floating, fly and cast fishing at Bear Lake and Stillwater Reservoir, all three bodies of water are located along the same road as the campground. Additionally, those interested in hiking can access Mandall Lakes , Smith Lake , and Stillwater Trailhead nearby within a short drive along Forest Service Road 900. The trailheads are all clearly marked with a sign and can be seen from the road. It is also a popular area for Big Game hunting in the fall. $20 per site. Exact cash or check only as there is no option for change back if paying cash. NO CREDIT CARDS accepted. Payment instructions are found on the kiosk.

Restrictions

Max Trailer length 30 feet Dogs must remain on a leash at all times in the campground. 7/2/2024: No potable water available as we await water samples which could take several weeks.
