The numbers that decide it

Recreation.gov publishes no site-level detail for this campground, so we cannot say what length of rig it takes. Call the managing office before committing to it in a large vehicle.

Howard Lake Campground

Howard Lake Campground has 4 sites and is a popular primitive experience. A high-clearance vehicle is needed to cross the creek on one section of the road into Howard Lake. Avoid parking or pitching tents under dead standing trees. Use extreme caution in high winds. Downed trees, dropped limbs, stump holes and unstable terrain may be present. Fishing may be impacted by lily pads and low water levels. Howard Lake is a 20-acre lake. The lake is open for non-motorized recreational paddle boating, kayaking, or pack rafting. Howard Lake is just down the road from Howard Meadow Campground.
