Cougar Flat Campground
CLOSED FOR SEASON. Closing for 2024 season on October 7th. This campground has 12 sites and is a great location for hiking, fishing, hunting, horseback riding and mountain biking in summer and early fall. Nearby Bumping Lake offers visitors opportunities for boating, swimming and fishing. The campground is adjacent to William O Douglas Wilderness . Notice: a few sites within Cougar Flats are closed for the season due to hazard trees. if your reservation has been affected by this please call Recreation.gov at (877) 444-6777 Several trails are nearby making tis campground a perfect spot for a base camp. The American Ridge Trail travels through 26 miles of forest, mountain meadows and high elevation lakes from the Bumping River to Pacific Crest Trail. Nearby Goose Prairie Trail is another option.
