Klahanie Campground
Klahanie is located on the South Fork Calawah River and has a typical temperate coastal rainforest canopy, including old growth spruce over 8’ in diameter, hanging mosses and a lush carpet of wood sorel and sword fern. Klahanie provides a beautiful, inexpensive “base camp” to explore the unique shops and calendar events of Forks, as well as the spectacular surrounding landscapesounds. It is 20 minutes from the rugged Pacific Ocean coast and LaPush cultural center for the Quileute People, 25 minutes from the Bogachiel Rain Forest, and an hour from Cape Flattery bluffs and the Makkah Cultural Center. Caution: Children should always be supervised around water. In recent years the river has eroded its bank.
