Davenport Campground
Davenport Campground has been rebuilt to evoke the historic character of the first Forest Service campground, the remnants of which are located a few miles downstream. Included are a few Adirondack shelters, a common cooking shelter with stone fireplaces, and old-style log picnic tables. This 12 site tent-only campground sits alongside Squirrel Creek in a grassy meadow surrounded by aspen and spruce trees at an elevation of 8,500 feet. Parking spurs, tables, fire rings, grills and trash receptacles are provided at this campground. The site offers access to hiking, mountain biking, motorcycle and ATV trails. Dates are weather dependent. All services may not be available early or late in the season.

Fees
$25 fee for overnight camping. Walk-in tent sites only, no RVs. Two vehicles per site are included in the camping fee, additional $10 fee each for extra vehicles. Fees are payable by cash, check or money order if not registered online. $10 day-use fees charged for those not registered as campers. Self-servicing fee tube is available. First-come, first-served sites must be occupied the first night.

Restrictions
Maximum 10 persons per site • Dogs must be leashed at all times. • No discharge of firearms or fireworks. • Only licensed vehicles can operate inside campground. • Camping is not allowed behind a locked gate.
