Flat Rocks Campground

Hidden in the Rampart Range, Flat Rocks is an ideal campground for ATV and motorcycle riders in the Rampart Range Recreation Area. ATVs and off-road motorcycles are allowed to enter and depart the campground for trail access. Consult the current Motor Vehicle Use Map (MVUM) for specific roads and trails open to off-road vehicles. There is no dump station or hook-up available. All dates are weather dependent. Visitors may expect full service between Memorial Day weekend and Labor Day weekend The area also has an extended season when services such as water, trash or a host may not be available during the fall/winter/spring.

Fees

$28.00 fee per site for overnight camping. Two (2) vehicles or one (1) RV per site is included in the camping fee. $11.00 for a third vehicle. $11.00 fee for day use if not camping overnight. Fees are payable by cash, check or money order. The Interagency Senior Pass and the Interagency Access Pass qualifies for a 50% discount at concessionaire run campsites and picnic areas.

Check in: 2 p.m. Check out: 12 p.m. (noon) Quiet hours: 10 p.m. to 6 a.m. Seasonal closure information: Rampart Range road is closed annually by December 1 and remains closed throughout the winter. The road reopens when conditions are favorable for summer recreation. A target date is April 1, but weather conditions may delay opening until late-May.

Restrictions

The following restrictions apply to this campground: • Maximum 8 persons per site, 2 tents and 2 vehicles or 1 recreation vehicle. • Dogs must be leashed at all times. • No discharge of firearms or fireworks. • Camping is NOT ALLOWED behind a LOCKED GATE.

Accessibility

The Indian Creek Campground is part of the Rampart Range Road. In order to protect the resources and provide a safer winter experience, this road is closed to all vehicles wider than 50" annually from December 1 to April 1. Call the district office (303.275.5610) for updated information.
