Green Mountain Campground

Green Mountain Campground is far enough from town that there is no corner store while being close enough that the drive to and from home is an enjoyable getaway. Located southwest of Denver at an elevation of 7,500 feet, Green Mountain Campground offers a wonderful opportunity for individuals or families to enjoy the great outdoors. South Fork Buffalo Creek runs through the campground and there are numerous nonmotorized, multi-use trails nearby. Tent camping only. Host located down the road at Buffalo Campground. All dates are weather dependent. Visitors may expect full service Memorial Day weekend to Labor Day weekend. The area also has an extended season when services such as water, trash or a host may not be available during the fall/winter/spring.

Fees

$24.00 fee per site for overnight tent camping. Two (2) vehicles per site are included in the camping fee. $11.00 for a third vehicle. $11.00 day use fee if not camping overnight. Fees are payable by cash, check or money order.

Check in: 2 p.m. Check out: 12 p.m. (noon) Quiet hours: 10 p.m. to 6 a.m.

Restrictions

The following restrictions apply to this campground : • Maximum 8 persons per site, 2 tents and 2 vehicles or 1 recreation vehicle. • Dogs must be leashed at all times. • No discharge of firearms or fireworks. • Only licensed vehicles can operate inside campground. • Camping is NOT ALLOWED behind a LOCKED GATE. Note: Green Mountain Campground is open to TENTS ONLY.

Accessibility

As Green Mountain Campground is TENTS ONLY, one must park and walk in to the campsite. There are a few bridges across the stream with steps involved.
