Painted Rocks Campground

This rustic campground is located approximately seven miles north of Woodland Park at 7,800 ft. elevation and has 18 campsites with parking areas up to 30 ft. Each site has a picnic table and fire ring. There is drinking water available in the campground, as well as trash dumpsters and vault toilets. While most sites have ponderosa pine shade, some are in full sun. This campground is a standard, non-electric site.

Fees

$28 fee per site for overnight camping. Two vehicles or one RV per site is included in the camping fee. $11.00 for a third vehicle. $11.00 fee for day use if not camping overnight. Fees are payable by cash, check, or money order. Self-service fee tube is available. First-come, first-served sites must be occupied the same night.

Restrictions

Dogs must be leashed at all times. • No discharge of firearms or fireworks. • Only licensed vehicles can operate inside campground. • Camping is not allowed behind a locked gate.
