North Fork Campground
The numbers that decide it
Recreation.gov publishes no site-level detail for this campground, so we cannot say what length of rig it takes. Call the managing office before committing to it in a large vehicle.
Site-level detail from Recreation.gov, checked 2026-08-05. Where a field says “not published”, the agency has not published it — it does not mean zero.
North Fork Campground
North Fork Campground is composed of 28 campsites including 3 double-sites located at the beginning of the 18.6 mile Harriman Trail. 26 of the 28 sites are currently available for reservation online or by phone. The campground is on the edge of the Big Wood River in a primarily aspen and cottonwood environment. Trails in North Fork Canyon lead to Amber Lakes, Window Lake and into the Hemingway-Boulder Wilderness Area and there is trail access from the campground to the Harriman trail. Fishing is available in the Big Wood River and surrounding creeks and the wildlife viewing is excellent.
