At 3,000 foot elevation along the North Fork of the Kern River, Hospital Flat Campground offers 40 individual family units, and 1 accessible group unit with ramp. Maximum 30 foot RV and trailer length. Paved access roads. Bathrooms and water available. ExplorUS All developed campground areas on the Forest operate under a concessionaire permit with ExplorUS. Camping and campfires within 25 feet of the water’s edge are prohibited due to Kern River’s Wild and Scenic Designation.
