Clark Fork Horse Camp is located past the dump station at Clark Fork Campground, five miles from the junction of Clark Fork Road and Highway 108. It is about 25 miles east of the Summit Ranger Station. There are 13 sites available. Some sites have picnic tables. There are three vault toilets and no potable drinking water. There is a watering trough for stock. Road and parking pads are dirt. Campers are asked to use existing fire rings. Please camp in numbered sites.

The Forest Service in conjunction with Backcountry Horsemen of California Mid-Valley Unit operates Clark Fork Horse Camp and suggests a donation to cover the cost of maintaining the campground.
Hours
Campground is scheduled to be open from last Saturday in May through October, weather permitting.
Restrictions
Camp in designated sites only. The number of people allowed in a single campsite is six. The maximum length of stay in any campground is 14 days. Please leave the area in as good (or better) condition than you found it. Often, locations destroyed by thoughtless campers must be closed to restore the area’s natural health. Help ensure your favorite area remains open.
