Karta Lake Cabin

Pan Abode cedar log cabin (12’x12’) on Karta Lake in the Karta Wilderness. Nestled in a mature second growth forest of spruce, hemlock, and cedar with surrounding views of snow-capped peaks. Connected to Karta Wilderness Trail. Fishing, hiking, and wildlife watching popular. Winter and spring steelhead runs. Cutthroat, rainbow trout, dolly Varden, 4 species of salmon. Sitka black-tailed deer, wolves, black bear, otter, mink, marten common. Heavy concentration of ducks, shore birds. Cabin sleeps 6, tiny wood stove which accommodates BioBricks (usually readily available from local retailers), outhouse, rowboat. Bring your own BioBlocks, flotation devices, sleeping bags, sleeping pads, cooking stove, lantern, pots, pans, plates, utensils, food, toilet paper, garbage bags, and fire starter. It’s a good idea to bring your own water. Please take your fuel container with you when you leave. Practice Leave No Trace principals in this unique Wilderness.
