Laughton Glacier Cabin

The Laughton Glacier Cabin is a 12’ x 14’ panabode style cabin. The area is surrounded by mountains. It is a spruce and sub-alpine fir forest with moose, brown bear and black bear. The trail to the cabin follows the Skagway River drainage. The following is included with the cabin: Two single wooden bunks, 2 double bunks (total capacity is 6 people), 1 table and bench, oil stove, cooking counter, food cupboard and shelves, cooler, log book, broom and dustpan, outhouse. Water is available from a nearby stream. Treat all water before using. This cabin is heated by an oil stove. Bring your own fuel for the oil heater (#1 Stove oil), sleeping bags, sleeping pads, cooking stove, lantern, pots, pans, plates, utensils, food, toilet paper, garbage bags, fire extinguisher and fire starter. Fuel consumption is approximately 1 gallon per day with the stove on low setting (sufficient for 8 hours of heating with an outside temperature of 40 degrees Fahrenheit).
