The McDonald Lake shelter is 3-sided shelter that was constructed in the 1930’s by the Civilian Conservation Corps (CCC). The shelter is on the edge of Wolverine Creek and provides great opportunities for wildlife observation and fishing. The shelter can be accessed by hiking about 1 mile on the McDonald Lake trail from Yes Bay.
