Bar HL/Hay Flat Trailhead FR #211

The Bar HL/Hay Flat road provides good access to a number of OHV trails; some provide loop opportunities and some are dead ends. This road requires a vehicle with clearance. Water bars can fill and become deep. It is not recommended for vehicles pulling long trailers, and vehicles pulling short trailers should consider road conditions. There are few places to turn around in the first few miles of the road. The road climbs through a forested area, then opens to a meadow as it reaches Hay Flats.Vegetation includes spruce, fir, and aspen, with scrub oak at lower elevations.
