The outlook spans a stretch of the coast and inland features to the northwest and north. Sandy Bay Beach lies northwest at 6.6 mi, followed by Ballycurrane at 7.9 mi and Illauntannig Monastic site at 8.9 mi, both also to the northwest. Further off, St Macadaw's Well is visible to the north at 12.3 mi, with Our Lady's Holy Well at the same distance to the north-northeast, and Toberlackan beyond it at 12.6 mi in the same direction, sitting at 274 ft elevation. Day length at this stop varies with the season: on the June solstice, sunrise is at 05:19 and sunset at 22:05, while the December solstice brings a shorter span, from 08:47 to 16:29. The equinoxes fall roughly in between, with March sunrise at 06:44 and September sunrise at 07:26. This lookout follows the Viewpoint Glengesh Valley stop and precedes An Chonair on the route.
