Eskey

Eskey sits at 275 ft along the Ring Road, with the terrain dropping 48 ft within 600 m of the overlook. From this point, Bólstaðafoss waterfall is visible to the northwest at 4.7 mi. Several peaks appear across the horizon: Hafrafellsháls to the west-northwest at 5.6 mi, Skálafellshnúta to the west at 6.3 mi, Haukafellsheiði to the north at 7.4 mi, Grænafell to the north at 7.7 mi, Geitakinn to the west-northwest at 8.7 mi, and Hestgerðiihnúta to the southwest at 8.9 mi. Elevations of these features range from 819 ft at the waterfall to 2,550 ft at Geitakinn. Daylight hours vary considerably by season: around the June solstice, sunrise is at 02:27 and sunset at 23:42, while around the December solstice, sunrise is at 10:59 and sunset at 15:02. At the equinoxes, daylight runs from roughly 06:45–07:04 to 19:06–19:16. This overlook falls along the Ring Road between Vestrahorn and Jökulsárlón.
