Halte du Suroit sits at 420 ft along the Route des Navigateurs, facing 330° across terrain that drops 305 ft within 600 m of the overlook. The view to the northwest takes in Montagne du Remous, 12.6 mi away at 788 ft, and Le Grand Por, 13.5 mi out at 1,152 ft, along with Lac des Soeurs at 14.5 mi and 965 ft elevation. To the north, Pointe à Cosaque and Pointe de la Chèvre appear at 14.0 and 14.1 mi, both low-lying capes at 9 ft and 17 ft. Allagash lies 49.6 mi to the southeast. Sunrise and sunset vary through the year: around 06:43–18:52 near the March equinox, 04:42–20:41 at the June solstice, 06:26–18:39 near the September equinox, and 07:25–15:51 at the December solstice. Belvédère Éloi Coulombe precedes this stop on the byway, with Halte du Nordet following.
