Laushornet

Laushornet sits at 4,925 ft along the Geiranger–Trollstigen byway, facing 240°, with terrain dropping 1,709 ft within 600 m of the overlook. The Ørnesvingen viewpoint lies 1.5 mi to the west at 1,832 ft, with Gjerdefossen waterfall a bit farther west at 1.8 mi and 1,782 ft. To the west-northwest, Geitfonnegga rises to 4,818 ft at 2.6 mi, while Homlungsætra sits west-southwest at 2.7 mi and 1,886 ft. Keipen, at 4,460 ft, is south-southwest at 2.7 mi, and Blåhornet, at 5,440 ft, is farther along the same bearing at 3.8 mi. The 240° facing points toward the sunset side of the sky, roughly 30° off square to due west. Sunset times vary through the year, from 15:03 at the December solstice to 23:28 at the June solstice, with sunrise ranging from 03:39 in June to 09:57 in December. Ørnesvingen is the previous stop on the byway, and Løstad follows as the next lookout.
