Lac des Soeurs is visible to the west-northwest at 14.4 mi and 965 ft, and the Rivière du Port au Persil lies northwest at 14.5 mi and 481 ft. The facing direction is oriented toward sunset, angled 30° off square to it. Sunset times vary through the year, from 20:41 at the June solstice to 15:50 at the December solstice, with equinox sunsets around 18:39–18:52. This overlook is positioned between the Belvédère lookout before it and the Lorne lookout ahead on the route.
