Le Belvédère

Le Belvédère sits at 440 ft along the Route des Navigateurs, facing 300° with land dropping 416 ft within 600 m of the overlook. Two capes, Pointe à Cosaque and Pointe de la Chèvre, lie to the north at 10.3 mi, both low-lying at 9 ft and 17 ft respectively. Farther out, a cluster of peaks appears to the west-northwest and northwest: Montagne du Remous (12.6 mi, 788 ft), Montagne des Boies (13.1 mi, 1,023 ft), and Le Grand Por (13.8 mi, 997 ft). Lac des Soeurs is visible to the west-northwest at 14.4 mi and 965 ft, and the Rivière du Port au Persil lies northwest at 14.5 mi and 481 ft. The facing direction is oriented toward sunset, angled 30° off square to it. Sunset times vary through the year, from 20:41 at the June solstice to 15:50 at the December solstice, with equinox sunsets around 18:39–18:52. This overlook is positioned between the Belvédère lookout before it and the Lorne lookout ahead on the route.
