Meeting of the waters

Meeting of the Waters sits at 80 ft on the Ring of Kerry, with the land dropping 11 ft over the next 600 m. Several named features are visible from the overlook: McRose Beach lies east-northeast at 1.2 mi (106 ft elevation), Torc Waterfall is east-southeast at 1.9 mi (461 ft), an Arboretum is due east at 1.9 mi (145 ft), Governer's Rock is north at 2.0 mi (76 ft), and Muckross Traditional Farm is east-northeast at 2.2 mi (142 ft). Daylight hours shift across the year, with sunrise at 05:19 and sunset at 22:03 around the June solstice, narrowing to a sunrise of 08:45 and sunset of 16:29 at the December solstice; the equinox dates fall close to 06:42–18:51 in March and 07:25–19:39 in September. This lookout follows Waterfall View along the byway and precedes Torc Mountain.
