Moll's Gap

Moll's Gap sits at 833 feet along the Ring of Kerry byway, on the N71 mountain pass linking Kenmare and Killarney. The terrain falls 367 feet within 600 meters of the overlook, facing north. Looscaunagh Hill rises to the northeast at 2.5 miles and 860 feet, while Brassel Mountain, part of the MacGillycuddy's Reeks range, stands north-northwest at 3.5 miles and 1,822 feet. Drishana is visible to the north at 3.9 miles and 1,373 feet, and the Head of Dunloe viewpoint lies in the same direction and distance at 828 feet. Daylight hours vary through the year, from a sunrise of 05:19 and sunset of 22:03 at the June solstice to a sunrise of 08:45 and sunset of 16:30 at the December solstice. The equinoxes fall closer to twelve-hour daylight spans, with March showing sunrise at 06:43 and sunset at 18:51, and September showing sunrise at 07:25 and sunset at 19:40.
