Parekura Peak

Parekura Peak sits at 858 ft along the Twin Coast Discovery Highway, facing 330°, with the land dropping 489 ft within 600 m of the overlook. Parekura Stream lies north-northwest at 0.4 mi and 439 ft elevation. Pukematekeo, a hill in the Waitākere Ranges located west of Henderson and the northernmost hill in the Waitākere Ranges Regional Park, is visible to the northwest at 3.2 mi and 1,102 ft. Huruhuru Creek runs north-northeast at 5.6 mi, at 129 ft. Sunrise and sunset times vary through the year: 07:25 and 19:36 at the March equinox, 07:35 and 17:13 at the June solstice, 06:13 and 18:18 at the September equinox, and 05:59 and 20:41 at the December solstice. Pakia Hll precedes this lookout on the route, with Kauri Cathedral next along the way.
