This overlook sits at 868 ft along the Ryfylke byway, facing due north, with terrain dropping 191 ft within 600 m of the site. Hauske Rasteplass lies north-northwest at 1.0 mi and 473 ft, the closest feature in view. Further north-northwest, Svidkoll rises to 1,579 ft at 5.5 mi, with Bandåsen (1,643 ft) beyond it at 7.3 mi. To the northeast and north-northeast, several peaks are visible: Øksnafjellet at 2,464 ft (6.0 mi), Valafjellet at 2,296 ft (7.0 mi), and Røssenibben at 2,319 ft (7.4 mi). Stølskleivå, a viewpoint at 1,033 ft, sits north-northeast at 6.2 mi, and Fossfossen, a waterfall at 1,107 ft, is visible in the same direction at 6.4 mi. Daylight varies by season: sunrise runs from 04:21 at the June solstice to 09:31 at the December solstice, with sunset ranging from 22:55 in June to 15:38 in December.
