Table d'Orientation sits at 2,563 ft along the Route Napoléon, facing east at 90°, with the land dropping 544 ft within 600 m of the overlook. The view opens across a line of peaks and saddles to the east and northeast. Col de L'Orme lies east-southeast at 4.4 mi (2,408 ft), with Pas de Boudillon further east at 5.3 mi (4,581 ft). Le Cousson rises east-southeast at 5.4 mi (4,961 ft), close to Sommet de Cousson at 5.5 mi (4,974 ft) to the east. L'Andran and Martignon stand northeast at 5.5 mi, at 3,993 ft and 4,692 ft respectively, and La Gomberge is north-northeast at 5.8 mi (4,888 ft). Because the overlook faces almost due east, it looks directly toward sunrise; on the June solstice the sun rises at 05:53, while on the December solstice it rises later, at 08:08. Saint-Abdon precedes this stop on the byway, and Point de vue follows it.
