Teepee

The Teepee overlook sits at 1,056 feet along the Chemins d'eau byway, facing 210 degrees toward the south-southwest. The terrain drops 791 feet within 600 meters of the viewpoint, giving an open outlook across the surrounding lowlands. The Ottawa River (Rivière des Outaouais) is visible to the south-southeast at 5.5 miles, with Pinhey Point, a cliff, appearing due south at 6.2 miles. Several water features lie within view, including Constance Creek to the southwest at 5.8 miles, Dunrobin Lake to the south-southwest at 7.1 miles, and Constance Lake to the south at 8.5 miles. Farther out, the Carp River appears to the southwest at 10.8 miles, and Innis Point, another cliff, is visible south-southeast at 10.9 miles. Two additional water features, DND Carling - Pond A and Beaver Pond, are visible to the south-southeast at 13.8 and 14.0 miles respectively. Sunrise and sunset times vary through the year, with the June solstice offering the longest daylight window from 05:16 to 20:57 and the December solstice the shortest, from 07:42 to 16:24. This lookout falls between Rideau Falls and Dizzy Point on the byway route.
