Farther out, Waterloo Peak lies southeast at 5.2 mi (3,533 ft), Brown Peak to the south at 5.3 mi (4,823 ft), Clare Peak also to the south at 6.0 mi (4,888 ft), and Fern Hill to the west-northwest at 6.0 mi (1,152 ft). Daylight varies through the year: around the March equinox, sunrise is at 07:50 and sunset at 20:03; at the June solstice, sunrise is 08:30 and sunset 17:12; at the September equinox, sunrise is 06:40 and sunset 18:45; and at the December solstice, sunrise is 05:56 and sunset 21:38.
