Two bodies of water are visible as well — Lac de Saint-Pierre-Cognet to the southeast at 4.8 miles and 2,286 feet, and Lac de Gore to the south-southeast at 5.5 miles, sitting higher at 3,745 feet. The approach road to this stop does not close seasonally, so it remains accessible year-round. Daylight hours shift considerably across the year, with sunrise near 5:51 and sunset near 21:28 at the June solstice, contracting to an 08:12 sunrise and 16:59 sunset by the December solstice. This lookout falls between Départ du 9 and Belvédère de la Roche along the byway.
