The Dante Fascell Visitor Center is located at Convoy Point, 9 miles East of the city of Homestead, Florida. A beautiful museum offers a virtual journey through the park's four ecosystems using dioramas, audio and video. Several films are available to help you learn about the park, including the 20-minute feature presentation: Connections. The Gallery highlights the works of local artists who find inspiration in the park.

From the Florida Turnpike take Exit 6 (Speedway Boulevard). Turn left from exit ramp and continue south to SW 328th Street (North Canal Drive). Turn left on 328th Street and continue for four miles to the end of the road. The park entrance is on the left just before the entrance to Homestead Bayfront Marina.
The visitor center is located on the east side of the parking lot. It is a two story, grey clapboard building with a weathered metal peaked roof. A large wrap around porch with rocking chairs is on the second floor facing east with a view of the boat harbor, mangrove shoreline, and Biscayne Bay in the distance. Located on the first floor are a classroom, restrooms, and a water fountain/bottle filling station. On the second floor is the museum with natural history displays and the auditorium where the park film is shown. Separate from the museum, the bookshop is also located on the second floor. Check in here for boat tours with the Biscayne National Park Institute. A second water fountain/bottle filling station is also located here. Access to the floors is via the elevator, ramp or stairs.
