Fish Creek campground is located just off the Camas Road approximately 2.5 miles from Apgar Village on the west side of Glacier National Park. Latitude, Longitude: 48.54778, -113.98528 48°32'52"N, 113°59'7"W
Glacier's weather is highly variable and can be extreme. Warm days and cool nights are the norm in summer. Even when it's in the 80s and 90s in the daytime it can cool down into the 40s at night. Hikers setting out on a warm summer day, should still bring along rain gear and lots of extra clothing. Dressing in layers is key to a comfortable visit all year long.
Fish Creek Campground is a sprawling maze of curving paved streets and paths that lead through an old cedar and hemlock forest. Though Lake McDonald is nearby, most of the campground has only views of the forest.
