During the summer, come visit the Zion Nature Center! This is a perfect place to learn about geology, animals, and the history of Zion. Take a break from the sun to explore different habitats, enjoy bird songs, listen to canyon tree frog calls, and participate in Junior Ranger programs. The inside of the Nature Center has a variety of interactive exhibits, animal models, changing activities, and crafts. Park rangers host educational programs throughout the day.

The Zion Nature Center is only open during the summer months, typically from May into September. When the Nature Center is closed for winter, Junior Ranger books can be acquired at the Zion Canyon Visitor Center.
The Zion Nature Center is located along the Zion-Mt. Carmel Highway, about halfway between the Zion Canyon Visitor Center and Human History Museum. To reach the Nature Center by car, drive just under 1/2 mile northeast from the park's South Entrance. There will be a turn for the Nature Center parking lot. To reach the building by walking, use the Pa'rus Trail. About 1/4 mile from the Zion Canyon Visitor Center, there will be a path that turns toward the Nature Center.
The Zion Nature Center is an accessible building with a paved wheelchair ramp and reserved parking spaces out front. Exhibits inside have navigable space around them with a mix of visual, tactile, and some audio elements. The ranger program area has a mix of seating options. Outdoor activities may take place on a flat, grassy lawn. The nearby Pa'rus Trail is paved, relatively flat, and may be accessible to wheelchairs with assistance.
