Chuckwalla National Monument
Browns Canyon highlights the rugged beauty of the Arkansas River Valley. The BLM and U.S. Forest Service manage the area through the Arkansas Headwaters Recreation Area partnership with Colorado Parks and Wildlife (CPW).
Chuckwalla National Monument is a national monument in the Colorado Desert of Southern California that protects 624,270 acres of desert habitat in Riverside and Imperial counties from development. The monument spans several mountain ranges between Joshua Tree National Park and the Chocolate Mountain Aerial Gunnery Range.
