Somers is a very small suburban farm town. Most known for Little Sorrel Lane where a Somers horse was ridden by Stonewall Jackson in the battle of Chancellorsville. The town has many traditions, such as participating in the four town fair parade every year along with bordering towns. Somers has always been an agricultural town with many potato, tobacco, and dairy farms and there are many animals and ranches. For example, horseback riding is a very big in Somers. Somers is a very wealthy town with beautiful houses, in 2007 it was named 53rd on Money Magazine’s list of 100 Best Places to Live.
