Bagley Nature Area viewing platform

The viewing platform at Bagley Nature Area sits along the Skyline Parkway Scenic Byway at 1,259 feet, facing southeast (120°), with the land dropping 174 feet within 600 meters of the overlook. Several named features lie within a mile, including Ordean Court to the southeast at 0.4 mi, the Marshall W. Alworth Planetarium to the south-southeast at the same distance, and the Rain Garden slightly beyond at 0.5 mi. Field 9, the BlueStone Roundabout, Granitoid Memorial Park, and Old Main Park extend the view southeast and east-southeast between 0.6 and 0.9 miles, with Old Main Park at the lowest elevation of the group at 964 feet. Rock Knob precedes this stop on the byway, and Chester Park Trail Overlook follows it.
