Beaver Hill Viewpoint

Beaver Hill Viewpoint sits at 525 feet along the Charleston to Bandon byway, at mile 30 of 38, with the land dropping 406 feet within 600 meters and the view facing 210°. Looking south and southwest, the outlook takes in Judah Parker County Park at 4.8 miles, Bullards Beach State Park at 6.0 miles, and Nasomah Memorial at 7.5 miles. Farther out, Lampa Mountain rises to 786 feet at 8.0 miles to the south-southeast, and Bill Peak reaches 1,479 feet at 13.6 miles to the south. Devils Kitchen viewpoint and City Park appear closer in at 10.2 and 8.2 miles respectively, while New River County Park lies at the far edge of view, 14.3 miles to the south-southwest. Coos Bay is 12.3 miles north-northeast, with North Bend at 14.6 miles and Reedsport at 35.9 miles in the same direction. This stop follows Simpson Reef Overlook and precedes Top of Copperhead Viewpoint on the route. Daylight hours vary by season, from sunrise at 05:38 and sunset at 21:02 near the June solstice to sunrise at 07:47 and sunset at 16:46 near the December solstice.
