Bridal Veil Falls Viewpoint

Bridal Veil Falls Viewpoint sits at 1,282 feet along the byway between Woods Creek Road near Monroe and US 97 near Peshastin, on a slope that drops 713 feet within 600 meters of the pullout. The overlook faces 225°, roughly toward the southwest, putting several waterfalls in view across the valley to the south-southwest: the Lower East Cascade at 1.7 miles, Mine Cascade at 1.8 miles, and Upper Cascade at 2.0 miles, along with Logjam Falls at 2.1 miles. Valley Overlook, another viewpoint, is visible at the same distance and direction. To the west, Boulder Drop appears at 2.3 miles. Higher terrain frames the scene to the south and southwest, including Philadelphia Mountain at 4,258 feet, North Index at 5,351 feet, and Middle Index at 5,478 feet, all within about 2.7 miles. Because the viewpoint faces 45 degrees off square from due west, the setting sun passes at an angle through the frame rather than straight ahead; sunset falls near 19:19 at the March equinox, 21:09 at the June solstice, 19:06 at the September equinox, and 16:17 at the December solstice. Bellevue lies 32.8 miles west-southwest, with Seattle at 39.0 miles and Kent at 43.3 miles. The route continues from Skykomish River Viewpoint to this stop and on to Canyon Falls Viewpoint.
