Higher terrain features are visible farther out, including Aldrich Butte at 1,133 feet, Sacagawea and Papoose Rocks at 1,636 feet, and Cedar Mountain at 1,707 feet, all to the northwest or west-northwest. The Skamania County Fairgrounds lie to the north-northeast at 3.7 miles. The nearest towns are Gresham, Vancouver, and Portland, all to the west or west-southwest at distances of 26.8 to 37.5 miles. This overlook falls along the route between Wauna Viewpoint and the Puppy Dog viewpoint.
