Height of Land Scenic Overlook

Height of Land Scenic Overlook sits at 2,205 feet on the Rangeley Lakes Scenic Byway, facing due west across terrain that drops 677 feet within 600 meters of the pullout. Because the overlook faces directly toward the setting sun, sunsets are aligned with the view; on the June solstice the sun sets at 20:33, and on the December solstice it sets earlier, at 16:05. Farmington is the nearest listed town, 29.8 miles to the east-southeast, with Berlin 34.4 miles southwest and Winthrop 51.7 miles southeast.
